Happy Holidays from Animal Medical Center of Chicago!

Dear Clients and Friends,

As this difficult year draws to a close and the holiday season is upon us, we’d like to thank you all for entrusting us with the care of your furry family member. We are honored for the privilege to care for your pet and grateful for your confidence. It is our passion!

For all of us, this year has been both emotionally and physically challenging. We’ve dramatically changed the way we deliver veterinary medicine. In March, to keep our staff healthy and help ensure the continuity of our essential services, we divided the staff into 2 teams, limited indoor access to our hospital to staff and pet patients only, practiced physical distancing, started wearing face masks, increased hospital sanitation efforts and instituted curbside service. In August, we reunited our teams but continued to follow all the CDC guidelines for a safe work environment and curbside service. We anticipate continuing these practices until the successful implementation of a COVID-19 vaccine program and a reduction of positive COVID-19 Chicago cases.

Although not ideal, the curbside service is going well. It does take a bit more time, so we appreciate your patience. Most pets are comfortable coming into the clinic without their pet parents. Offering tasty treats and interacting with them in a fear-free and friendly manner definitely helps! But please do not mistake this for a roaring endorsement of curbside visits. We all miss seeing you and look forward to inviting you back into our hospital.

For your comfort and warmth, we’ve recently enclosed the front porch if you need a place to wait during your pet’s visit.

We wish you all a happy and healthy holiday season. May 2021 be a year of renewed hope, kindness and respect.

Remember, nothing can dim the light that shines within you and your pet! Hope moves us forward.

Stay safe and be well.
